What is the purpose of flag markers in my yard or on the road?
Flag markers are used by utility companies to mark their utility line(s).
○ White: Proposed Excavation
○ Pink: Temporary Survey Markings
○ Red: Electric Power Lines, Cables, Conduit and Lighting Cables
○ Yellow: Gas, Oil, Steam, Petroleum or Gaseous Material
○ Orange: Communication, Alarm, or Signal Lines, Cables or Conduit and Traffic Loops
○ Blue: Potable Water
○ Purple: Reclaimed Water, Irrigation and Slurry Lines
○ Green: Sewer and Drain Lines

Who decides when Trick or Treat is to be held?
The Police Chief’s Association determines when Trick or Treat will be held.
The rule of thumb in which the Chiefs Association adopted in their by-laws many years ago:
If Halloween “October 31st” falls on a Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, or a Thursday then it will be held on that given night.
If Halloween “October 31st” falls on a Friday, Saturday, or a Sunday the Chiefs Association recommends that Halloween be celebrated on the Thursday (before the start of that week-end).
Reason being is that on a Friday, high school football games are still being played. Saturdays generally is an evening out for families and if it falls on a Sunday, then because of some religious beliefs (against Halloween) and also family time the Chiefs have always steered away from celebrating those nights. However, it has always been left up to the political leaders of their respective communities.
Why is Trick or Treat not rescheduled due to inclement weather?
Police and Fire coverage is scheduled to accommodate Trick or Treat and other events in the Township, therefore, it is not a simple/uncomplicated process to reschedule Trick or Treat.
